Hatch Embroidery uses email and password sign-in. There are two ways to sign in:

  • In the software: double-click the Hatch Embroidery desktop icon and enter your registered email and password when prompted
  • On the website: go to hatchembroidery.com and click Sign In at the top of the page

Your Hatch account is linked to your email address. If you purchased directly from hatchembroidery.com, your license is automatically assigned to your account email — no product key needed.

Tip: Tick Keep me signed in at the sign-in screen to allow offline use for up to 30 days without needing to reconnect.

Yes — you can install Hatch Embroidery on any number of computers and activate your license on up to 3 machines simultaneously. Your license is for one person at a time — if you open and use Hatch on one machine, access is automatically paused on any others until that session ends.

When you sign in on a second computer, a Session Management dialogue box will appear reminding you that the session has been released from your first computer. Click Continue to proceed on the second machine. Your first computer will then confirm that its session has been disabled — and if you had any designs open, Hatch will give you the opportunity to save them before closing.

To activate on additional machines beyond your current 3, you first need to release one. Open Hatch Embroidery on an already-activated machine and choose Sign Out & Exit when closing — this releases that slot back to the cloud so it can be activated elsewhere.

Can't access any activated machines to release a slot? Contact Hatch Support and the team can release your licenses remotely. You will never permanently lose access to your software.

Yes. When you sign in, tick Keep me signed in. This allows you to use Hatch Embroidery offline for up to 30 days before needing to reconnect to validate your license.

  • You will receive warning messages two weeks before your offline period expires
  • Simply connect to the internet and launch Hatch to re-validate automatically
  • Machine file export (sending designs to your machine) requires an internet connection even in offline mode

To release a license activation from a machine you can still access, open Hatch Embroidery and choose Sign Out & Exit from the close/exit menu. This releases that activation back to the cloud and frees up a slot for another machine.

Remember: your license allows up to 3 simultaneous activations across any machines. You only need to release a slot when you want to activate on a fourth machine or higher.

You can update your registered email address in your Hatch account profile. Go to profile.hatchembroidery.com and look for account or profile settings. If you have difficulty, contact Hatch support.

Product keys are only issued when you purchase Hatch Embroidery from a reseller at a show, retail store, or when the software is bundled with a machine. If you purchased directly from hatchembroidery.com, you will not have a product key — your license is assigned automatically.

To activate a product key:

  • Install the Hatch Embroidery software first
  • Sign in or create a Hatch account at hatchembroidery.com
  • After installation, activate your product key from within the software (Help menu) or from your Hatch account profile page
