The trial runs for 30 days from the date of first installation and sign-in. During this period you have:

• Full access to all tools across all four product levels
• Access to 200+ Hatch Academy lessons
• Ability to create, edit, and save designs in .EMB format
• The ability to switch between levels freely to compare features

The trial software is identical to the full paid version. There are no hidden limitations on which tools you can use — only on export to machine formats (see below).

The only limitation during the trial is that you can export designs to machine file formats (e.g. .PES, .DST, .JEF) up to 30 times during the 30-day period. There are no other restrictions.

You can save your working .EMB file as often as you wish — there is no limit on saving. All tools are fully available throughout the trial: digitizing, lettering, appliqué, PhotoStitch, Stitch Player, and everything else.

Yes — absolutely. Any designs you create and save in .EMB format during your trial are fully preserved after purchasing. When you buy a license and sign in, your trial work is immediately accessible in the full version of the software.

No. The free trial is only available to customers who do not currently hold an active Hatch license. If you already own any level or version of Hatch, the trial cannot be activated.
