Hatch 4 focuses on three core themes: more creative tools, smarter stitch control, and faster workflows. Over 25 new and enhanced features were introduced in this release.
New creative tools: Multi Blend, Advanced Appliqué, Continue Digitizing, Rounded Corners, native DXF import, Appliqué Pattern Printing.
Smarter stitch control: Enhanced Auto Connectors & Trims, Stop Function, Enhanced Warning Controls, Enhanced Display Colors.
Faster workflows: AI Answers assistant, Exports Docker, Enhanced Design Explorer, Enhanced Grids/Guides/Snap, Wireless Brother Transfer, Enhanced Control Point Display.
Multi Blend lets you create smooth color transitions, gradients, and shading within a single embroidery object — without manually laying stitch by stitch. Previously, achieving this effect required complex multi-object setups.
- 20+ ready-made Profiles for fire, water, grass, sunset, and more
- Go from flat fill to finished gradient in seconds
- Adjust, reorder, and restyle at any time without starting over
- Layer multiple stitch types and fills in one object
Multi Blend is exclusive to Hatch Digitizer 4.
Advanced Appliqué removes the two biggest limitations of traditional appliqué digitizing: it now works with open shapes (not just closed ones), and it converts existing designs in just a few clicks rather than requiring a rebuild from scratch.
- Convert open and closed shapes to appliqué in seconds
- Works from existing artwork — no rebuilding required
- Not limited to traditional satin outlines
- Remove appliqué and return to the original design at any time
Advanced Appliqué is exclusive to Hatch Digitizer 4. Standard Appliqué tools remain available in Digitizer.
Answers is a built-in AI-powered knowledge assistant available inside the software — no need to leave Hatch Embroidery to search for help. Ask it any question about tools, techniques, stitches, or design challenges in plain language.
- Ask any embroidery question in plain language
- Instant answers without leaving the software
- Covers tools, techniques, stitches, and troubleshooting
Yes. Hatch Embroidery 4 adds direct Wi-Fi transfer to compatible Brother embroidery machines. Send designs from Hatch straight to your machine — no USB drive, memory stick, or manual transfer required.
Compatible machines: PR680W (6 needles), PR1055X (10 needles), PR1060W (10 needles).
Connect your machine once in EmbroideryHub and it will appear as a destination whenever you export. An internet connection is required for machine file export.
Continue Digitizing lets you extend any existing digitized object seamlessly — picking up from its exit or entry point — without creating a new separate object or having to resequence your design.
- Continue from the exit or entry point of any existing object
- No new objects created — keeps stitch order clean
- Ideal for redwork, swirls, continuous outlines, and complex paths
- Saves significant time on designs that previously required starting over
Continue Digitizing is exclusive to Hatch Digitizer 4.
The Stop Function lets you insert a machine pause at any point in your stitch sequence without forcing a color change or trim. Previously, stopping a machine mid-design required an unnecessary color change as a workaround.
- Pause the machine at any stitch point — no forced color change
- Cleaner, simpler stitch sequences with fewer workarounds
- Ideal for in-the-hoop projects, multi-step appliqué, and multi-needle machines
