Having trouble opening or signing in to Hatch?
Select the issue you may be experiencing to provide the quick fix.
Hatch opens with a white screen
This can often be resolved by clearing Hatch’s local web cache.
- Close Hatch Embroidery.
- Open File Explorer.
- Go to:
C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\Hatch Embroidery 4\CEF
Can’t see the ProgramData folder?
ProgramData may be hidden in Windows. Turn on Hidden items in File Explorer to make it visible.
- Delete the CEF folder and its contents.
- Restart your computer.
- Open Hatch Embroidery again.
Using Hatch Embroidery 3 instead?
Go to:
C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\3\CEF
Delete the CEF folder and its contents, restart your computer, then open Hatch again.
In some cases, the issue may also be related to graphics acceleration.
Graphics acceleration issue — view the fix
This issue is caused by PCs that do not support graphics acceleration, which helps improve the Hatch home screen loading speed.
When installing new updates for Hatch Embroidery 3, the graphics acceleration setting will be reset, causing the white screen to reappear.
- Download and install the latest Hatch Embroidery 3: Hatch3_Setup.exe
- Once installed, download the product.ini file, then copy it to the folder below and overwrite the existing file:
C:\Program Files\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery 3\BIN
Browser download warning?
Some browsers may flag the product.ini file as unusual because it’s not a common file type. This file is safe — select Download unverified file to continue.
Select “Download unverified file” to continue — this file is safe - Then go to the folder below and delete the folder named 3:
C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\3
- You can now start Hatch Embroidery.
Consider upgrading your PC
It is highly advisable to consider upgrading to a PC that supports graphics acceleration. You can review the Hatch recommended system requirements here.
“Unable to get user session following successful sign-in”
This is usually resolved by clearing Hatch’s web cache.
- Close Hatch and the Hatch sign-in window.
- Open the Windows Start menu.
- Find the Hatch Embroidery 4 program folder.
- Select Revert.
- In Revert To Factory Settings, select Web Cache only. In Revert To Factory Settings, select Web Cache only
Important
Select Web Cache only. Selecting other options may reset Hatch settings, templates or toolbar layouts.
- Click OK.
- Open Hatch Embroidery and sign in again.
If Revert doesn’t work
If you see a “Feature has expired (H0041)” message, you can manually clear the cache instead.
- Close Hatch Embroidery.
- Open File Explorer.
- Go to:
C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\Hatch Embroidery 4\CEF
